Bands of diamonds, small blossoms, and linear borders move across the field in white, cream, red, orange, yellow, and dark neutral tones, while the central strapped opening adds an unmistakable functional detail. Medium distress softens the pattern and edge line, giving the piece a grounded, tactile finish. Circa 1885 - 1900, it reads as both folk object and woven archive, with a weathered surface that holds its character in every register.
