A lived-in study of geometry and patina, this Kurd runner reads in indigo and soft cream. At 4' 0" x 12' 0" a procession of stepped lozenges and serrated medallions runs the field, framed by narrow guards worked in deeper blues. The wool shows even abrasion and abrash that mute the original color contrasts, producing a tactile, low-relief surface. Medium distress lends a quietly weathered presence while the disciplined geometric schema remains legible. This antique rug balances bold pattern and softened surface, offering a textural, heritage-aware character. Circa 1900 - 1920
