An elongated Kurd runner woven in wool, its saturated red field threaded with cream and white palmettes and stylised floral vines across a disciplined linear composition. The repeating hooked palmettes and small rosettes lead the eye along the 3' 6" x 16' 3" span, while narrow cream guard borders offer geometric restraint. Low distress preserves a tactile, slightly softened pile and subtle abrash that lends depth without blurring detail. This antique rug reads as both crafted and lived-in, where colour, pattern and age are in quiet dialogue. Circa 1900 - 1915.
