This Khotan antique rug measures 5' 7" x 10' 9" and presents a lively field of round medallions set within layered borders. The wool pile carries a warm red and pink ground, softened by cream and white accents that give the surface a faded, textural glow. Repeated floral forms and small guard motifs create a balanced, rhythmic composition with a heritage feel. Low distress preserves the clarity of the design while allowing the age to read softly across the face. Circa 1920 - 1935, it is a composed example of the Khotan tradition, grounded in colour and quiet wear.
