This Kurd antique rug measures 3' 3" x 14' 7" and reads with a long, narrow silhouette, a dark grounded field, and a pale outer frame that lifts the composition. Repeating geometric boteh-like forms create a steady rhythm through the centre, while smaller floral and angular borders add movement along the edges. The wool surface shows gentle wear and softened colour, giving the design a lived-in depth without losing clarity. Circa 1880 - 1910, it carries the layered character and restrained patina that make an antique rug feel both graphic and timeworn.
