This Kerman antique rug in wool measures 13' 6" x 20' 5" and presents a finely worked allover floral field framed by a richly detailed border. The ivory ground softens the layered palette of blue, brown, cream, and muted rose, while the central medallion lends balance to the composition. Floral vines, palmettes, and corner ornament give the surface a classical rhythm, now mellowed by medium wear and gentle fading. Circa 1900 - 1925, it carries the quiet depth and composed density that define a well-aged Kerman. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
