This Khotan antique rug measures 5' 2" x 8' 6" and carries the quiet geometry and worn warmth associated with the region’s best-known field designs. A subdued ivory-beige ground is framed by darker borders, while small medallion forms and symbolic motifs create a measured, balanced rhythm across the field. The wool surface shows medium distress, with softened contrast and gentle fading that lend the piece a calm, layered presence. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reads as tactile and timeworn, with just enough definition remaining to preserve its architectural clarity.
