This Khotan antique rug measures 7' 0" x 13' 9" and carries a quiet, timeworn clarity. A layered field of stepped diamond medallions is framed by multiple narrow borders, where geometric drawing and small floral details balance one another in restrained symmetry. The palette blends faded red, warm neutral, and brown with softened blush and ivory notes, giving the piece a dry, luminous patina. Medium distress and visible wear soften the outlines without diminishing the structure. Circa 1900 - 1915, it offers the collected character and elongated scale associated with a well-aged Khotan.
