This Nain antique rug measures 1' 7" x 2' 0" and presents a compact prayer-rug composition with a deep navy ground, a central vase, and flowering vines worked in cream, white, pale aqua, coral, and red. Small animal and bird motifs animate the corners and upper field, while the borders hold the design in a finely drawn frame. The wool surface shows low distress, with light fringe wear and a softened hand that supports its age. Circa 1970 - 1985, it carries the restrained detail and balanced ornament associated with classic Nain weaving.
