This Kurd antique rug measures 3' 6" x 8' 3" and pairs a narrow ivory field with a vivid coral red border, creating a strong vertical rhythm. The composition is filled with fine geometric latticework and small repeated floral medallions, while the outer bands hold larger rosette motifs in blue, teal, gold, and navy. Its wool surface shows gentle wear, softened colour movement, and an easy, timeworn character that adds depth without diminishing clarity. Circa 1925 - 1945, it carries the layered balance and grounded palette that make a Kurd textile so distinctive.
