This Oushak antique rug measures 18' 0" x 25' 0" and carries the quiet scale and softened colour of an aged wool ground. An allover field of stylised medallions unfolds in faded blue over an ivory neutral ground, framed by a layered border with floral and geometric detail. The drawing is open and rhythmic, with brown accents lending depth to the composition. Circa 1900 - 1925, it shows medium distress, gentle fading, and a well-aged surface that gives the piece its grounded, lived-in character. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
