This Khotan antique rug measures 4' 10" x 10' 4" and presents a balanced long format with a softly worn field, layered medallions, and a refined border system. The palette moves through neutral brown, red, cream, and white, with age lending the surface a faded, grounded warmth. Geometric corner accents, floral guard motifs, and a diagonal outer border frame the composition with quiet structure. Visible wear is evenly distributed, allowing the design to read with subtlety rather than sharp contrast. Circa 1900 - 1915, it carries the patina and restraint that define a well-aged Khotan.
