This Khotan antique rug measures 6' 3" x 12' 2" and presents a refined open-field composition in wool. A quiet ivory ground is animated by tree-of-life branches, rosette motifs, and a central medallion, all framed by geometric corners and a floral border. The palette moves between muted red, dusty pink, tan, and charcoal, lending the piece a grounded, timeworn balance. Circa 1885 - 1900, it carries a medium level of wear that softens the drawing and deepens the surface with an even, lived-in patina. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
