This Khotan antique rug measures 2' 4" x 4' 3" and presents a vivid red field framed by warm brown and neutral borders. The composition is disciplined yet expressive, with twin medallions, floral sprays, and angular corner details that give the design a measured rhythm. A layered border of scrolling forms and small blossom motifs softens the geometry and adds movement around the perimeter. The wool surface shows low distress, with subtle fading and a lived-in tactility that reads clearly in the pile.
