This Khotan antique rug measures 5' 3" x 10' 6" and presents a richly layered field in worn red, brown, and neutral tones. Three dark medallions anchor the composition, surrounded by floral sprays, small roundels, and crisp geometric corner devices that give the layout a measured rhythm. The border stack carries scrollwork and repeating motifs, softened by age into an atmospheric frame. In wool with low distress, it holds a balanced patina and gently faded surface that feels grounded and refined. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
