This Khotan antique rug measures 7' 3" x 13' 4" and carries a quiet, time-softened presence. The composition is built around three faded medallions set within a coral-red field, with restrained floral details and a layered border that still reads clearly despite the heavy wear. Wool gives the surface a dry, matte hand, while the palette has mellowed into blush, beige, ivory, and soft gold. Circa 1875 - 1890, it feels pared back and atmospheric, with the kind of visible aging that deepens its decorative rhythm rather than diminishing it.
