This Kurd antique rug, 4' 8" x 9' 5", presents an allover field of stylised floral rosettes and round medallions set against a deep blue ground. The borderwork frames the composition with smaller floral repeats in cream, brown, and muted red, giving the piece a steady sense of rhythm and balance. Worn softly through the field, it carries the quiet character of age without losing clarity. Circa 1900 - 1920, the wool surface retains a grounded, tactile presence, with low distress that reads as natural, lived-in patina rather than heavy loss.
