This Khotan antique rug measures 5' 8" x 10' 6" and carries a softened palette of pink, white, and cream with lilac undertones. A large stepped diamond medallion anchors the field, while floral corner reserves and layered borders add structure and quiet rhythm. The wool surface shows medium distress, with gentle fading and a timeworn hand that gives the composition a hushed, atmospheric quality. Circa 1920 - 1935, it reflects the balance and ornament associated with Khotan weaving, where geometric form and floral detail meet in a relaxed, well-aged expression.
