This Hamadan antique rug measures 4' 3" x 6' 5" and presents a layered field of floral medallions, angular vines, and a strong stepped diamond frame. Wool lends the surface a grounded hand, while navy, sky blue, cream, tan, and coral create a restrained but vivid contrast. The composition feels both structured and lively, with a graphic border that holds the more intricate interior drawing in balance. Light fading and subtle wear soften the pattern without diminishing its clarity. Circa 1900 - 1925, it carries the familiar energy of a Hamadan with an easy, timeworn character.
