This Ghashgai antique rug measures 6' 7" x 9' 5" and presents a richly layered tribal composition in brown, neutral, cream, and white. A central stack of diamond medallions anchors the field, while dense, small-scale motifs fill the surrounding space with remarkable visual energy. The borders are finely drawn and maintain the rhythm of the interior design. Circa 1900 - 1935, the surface shows medium wear, softened contrast, and visible age that lend the piece a grounded, lived-in character without diminishing its detail. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
