This Khotan antique rug measures 4' 4" x 10' 2" and presents a long, narrow format filled with softened floral and geometric detail. A muted central field in blue-grey and pink is framed by pale neutral borders, while bands of cream, white, and olive brown lend structure to the composition. The surface shows medium wear, with fading and abrash that blur the pattern into a quiet, painterly rhythm. Circa 1900 - 1915, it carries the layered character and timeworn atmosphere that define a well-aged Khotan. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
