This Kurd antique rug measures 3' 2" x 10' 6" and carries a long, graphic field of stacked diamond medallions in faded blue, rust, ivory, and brown. The surrounding border layers small floral and geometric motifs, giving the piece a steady frame against its more open centre. Visible wear has softened the drawing and lifted the lighter tones, creating a lived-in surface with considerable character.
