This MASHAD antique rug measures 3' 7" x 6' 7" and presents a softly worn composition in cream, taupe, brown, and muted blue. A layered field of diamond lattice forms the centre, while small floral motifs and bracket-like details bring rhythm across the interior. The border is neatly framed with a repeating floral and vine vocabulary, creating a balanced, architectural look. Medium distress has muted the contrasts and given the surface a dry, gently faded hand. Circa 1940 - 1960, it carries the quiet patina and restraint that make Mashad rugs so enduring.
