This MASHAD antique rug measures 3' 2" x 12' 10" and carries a long, restrained palette of neutral brown, cream, white, and soft blue-grey. The field is filled with an allover floral lattice, set within a layered border that alternates geometric vine forms and angular outlines. Its surface shows medium distress, with age-softened contrast and visible wear that give the composition a muted depth. Circa 1925 - 1945, the piece reflects the formal balance and ornamented rhythm associated with Mashad weaving, while its elongated format and weathered finish lend it a measured, quietly architectural presence.
