A richly saturated Farahan Sarouk in wool, defined by a navy floral field and a warm coral border. The pattern is an all-over lattice of palmettes, stylised blossoms and scrolling stems, its colours mellowed by a soft, tactile abrash. The piece reads as an antique rug with layered surface wear that reveals a gentle patina and the living quality of natural dyes. Measures 8' 10" x 10' 2". Circa 1890 - 1905. The overall effect is resonant and quiet, a study in color modulation and handwrought repetition that feels both grounded and considered.
