This Farahan Sarouk is a finely balanced small wool antique rug, its restrained palette of cream, white and soft brown lending a calm, tactile presence. A central medallion and stylised floral vines ripple across a softly abrased field, while a darker multi-band border punctuates the composition with circular floral roundels. The hand of age is subtle; pile and colours retain clarity with low distress and gentle abrash in places. Circa 1900 - 1915. Dimensions: 3' 3" x 5' 0". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
