This Farahan Sarouk antique rug measures 10' 5" x 13' 10" and presents a richly layered allover floral field in deep navy, oxblood, rust, and warm neutral tones. The composition is tightly ordered yet lively, with scrolling vines and stylised blossoms carried through a wide floral border that frames the darker centre with clarity. Wool lends the surface a tactile depth, while the low distress level shows in softened colour and age-earned patina. Circa 1885 - 1900, it reads as both grounded and ornate, with a dark ground that gives the pattern a luminous presence.
