The Amritsa 9' 0" x 12' 0" is an antique rug in wool that reads like a weathered textile memory. A faded red ground settles beneath layers of blush pink and neutral palmettes, while an all-over floral network and a wide border remain legible through medium wear. Surface abrash and softened motifs yield a tactile, lived-in linen-like lustre; the wool pile shows areas of deliberate loss that heighten its provenance-forward atmosphere. Circa 1910 - 1930, this Amritsa balances refined patterning and relaxed patina, an object that feels both domestic and decidedly crafted.
