This Amritsa presents a quietly elegant palette of cream and ivory enlivened by muted rose and sage. A large palmette medallion gives way to scrolling floral vines and refined corner spandrels, the design softened by time and wear. Woven in wool, the surface shows a considered medium distress that produces gentle abrash and a soft, tactile hand. The complex borders remain legible though subdued, lending the piece a serene, lived-in presence. This antique rug reads as patinated and poetic, a study in restrained colour and craft. Circa 1890 - 1910. Size: 11' 0" x 17' 2".
