This Bakhshaish presents a deep navy central medallion framed by a cream lattice field and warm rust and terracotta accents in wool. At 11' 8" x 16' 10" the scale is expansive, letting repeating rosette borders and angular palmettes breathe across the composition. Low distress preserves clear motif definition while soft abrash and gentle surface wear lend tactile depth. The interplay of neutral ground and saturated blues reads both graphic and painterly. An antique rug that rewards close inspection, its layered colours and considered hand speak to long use and thoughtful preservation. Circa 1880 - 1900
