An elegant Josheghan in wool, this expansive antique rug measures 12' 10" x 21' 3" and presents an all-over lozenge lattice with a softened central diamond medallion. Muted rust, soft teal, cream and warm brown form a quietly faded color range; an even, hand-aged surface shows medium distress and gentle abrash that reveal layered color and depth. Palmette and floral cartouches frame the field with restrained geometry. The wool pile has a low, velvety nap that reads tactile and worn, preserving the design’s formal rhythm while offering a patinated, heritage presence. Circa 1885 - 1925
