This Oushak is a large wool rug, 10' 0" x 12' 0", composed around a warm gold field and restrained cream corner spandrels. A broad central medallion anchors stylised floral motifs and angular cartouches, while the border moves in a steady rhythm of rosettes and scrolling vine. The pile shows low distress with softened abrash and even wear that reveals the wool's tactile depth. The overall feeling is time-softened and design-forward; this antique rug reads as a hushed, sun-aged object that emphasizes material warmth and measured composition. Circa 1890 - 1910
