This Bijar presents a formal central medallion set into a dense floral garden, rendered in wool with a rich red field, navy accents and gold highlights. Small-scale rosettes and scrolling vine work animate the ground while teal corner spandrels anchor the composition. Low distress preserves clear pattern definition and a time-softened surface that reads tactile underfoot. An antique rug with restrained colour depth and evident hand, it measures 7' 7" x 12' 1" and shows gentle, even abrash that adds warmth and scale to the design. Circa 1900 - 1915
