An eloquent Farahan Sarouk in a generous 12' 4" x 16' 7" scale, this antique rug presents an intricate elongated medallion and a dense scrolling floral field worked in warm red, muted gold and neutral grounds. The wool pile retains a soft handle and low, even wear that reveals subtle abrash and layered dyes across the field. The wide floral guard borders frame the composition with navy accents and delicate palmettes. Hand-worn yet surprisingly vibrant, the piece carries the quiet patina of age and careful use.
