This Farahan Sarouk antique rug measures 4' 5" x 6' 8" and presents a finely balanced floral composition with a deep navy central medallion, coral border, and an ivory field scattered with delicate vines and blossoms. Woven in wool, the surface has a soft, time-worn handle and low distress that lets the drawing remain crisp while the colours settle into a quieter register. The interplay of coral, blue, green, and cream gives the piece a composed, layered character. Circa 1880 - 1900, it reflects the grace and density associated with Farahan Sarouk weaving.
