A restrained Oushak in warm neutrals and soft reds, woven in wool with a broad ivory field punctuated by large palmettes and stylised florals. The generous 11' 8" x 13' 2" scale and muted chroma read as measured and tactile, the surface showing low distress and a mellow, time-earned patina. The border frames the field with repeating rosettes and a balanced cadence of colour. This antique rug has an assured, quiet presence that speaks to traditional Ottoman-influenced design interpreted at a domestic scale. Circa 1880 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
