A serene Oushak in soft gold and brown tones, this antique rug reads as a study in restraint. A large geometric medallion anchors an open neutral field, balanced by angular corner spandrels and small, embroidered-like animal motifs. The wool shows an even, sun-warmed patina and areas of abrash that emphasize the hand-dyed colour shifts. Surface wear is moderate, lending a supple, velvety handle and lived-in depth to the pile. The composition feels both architectural and quietly domestic, its tactile presence rooted in slow craft. Circa 1900 - 1915. Size: 11' 6" x 12' 0".
