A compact Shirvan in finely drawn geometric language, this antique rug pairs a neutral ground with leafy green accents and warm rust details. Three stepped star medallions run the field, set within a tightly worked lattice of small floral squares and octagonal border motifs. The wool shows low, consistent wear and soft abrash that reads as age and tactility rather than loss. Measurements are 4' 2" x 7' 9". Circa 1850 - 1870. The result is a quietly assertive runner, one that retains clear color contrasts and the tactile presence of a handwoven wool antique rug.
