The design reads as a scattered floral lattice with palmettes and stylised medallions, framed by layered floral borders. Wool construction has mellowed with time to a tactile, low-contrast surface; faded abrash and medium distress give the piece a warm, lived-in patina. This antique rug measures 9' 8" x 12' 8" and balances scale with subtlety, its worn colour fields revealing the craft of long use. Circa 1880 - 1900. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
