A generous Sarouk in a warm red field, rendered in wool with a restrained, classical floral program. A central palmette axis and complementary sprays travel the length of the field, set against a darker neutral border highlighted with cream accents. The surface shows low distress and even pile, the abrash softening transitions and lending a lived, tactile depth. This antique rug carries an assured hand and a quietly formal presence, the motifs still crisp yet mellowed by time. Circa 1890 - 1910. Size 10' 9" x 20' 0". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
