A large Sarouk in a subdued, tactile palette of brown, cream and neutral tones. The field reads as a dense floral lattice of small palmettes and scrolling vines, layered beneath a wide floral border that has softened with age. High distress reveals abrash and scattered low areas, the wool pile worn to a gentle, luminous patina that highlights the rug's hand and history. This antique rug has an intimate, lived-in presence that retains its formal composition despite surface loss. Circa 1920 - 1940. Measures 13' 7" x 21' 7" and conveys the quiet gravitas of traditional Sarouk weaving.
