A monumental Farahan Sarouk in warm golds and brown rusts, woven in wool with a lavish central medallion and an allover floral arabesque. The 14' 1" x 24' 5" scale allows the medallion and complex vine work to breathe; layered abrash and a quietly worn pile lend a patinated, tactile surface. Edges remain secure and the border pattern is crisply resolved despite gentle age. This antique rug reads as both architectural and intimate, a study in restrained colour and handwork. Circa 1890 - 1935 The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
