This Sultanabad presents an airy ivory field threaded with a graceful lattice of floral vines, palmettes and stylized rosettes in soft gold, neutral and navy accents. The red-gold guard borders frame the field with measured contrast to the light ground. Rendered in wool with low distress, the surface shows restrained abrash and a gently softened pile that reads like living patina in natural light. It is an antique rug with a calm, refined presence and clear, considered drawing throughout. Circa 1915 - 1930. Dimensions: 6' 6" x 10' 10". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
