An Oushak in wool with a spacious, relaxed composition: trailing vines and large palmettes float across a muted gold field, punctuated by cream highlights and a warm rust guard border. The border carries repeated floral compartments and small geometric clusters that read as pattern and ornament rather than strict symmetry. Surface abrash and medium distress have softened the original tones into a quiet, tactile patina that reveals ivory accents and layered color depth. This antique rug shows time as refinement, its scale and palette grounded in traditional Oushak language yet mellowed by age. Circa 1900 - 1920. Measurements: 12' 6" x 24' 0".
