A bold, symmetrical medallion anchors a field of scrolling vine, palmettes and discreet boteh motifs, balanced by layered floral borders. The pile shows low distress and a tactile, slightly burnished surface that highlights fine detail and painterly abrash. The composition reads as architectural yet intimate, with a warm, collected patina and crisp pattern definition. Circa 1890 - 1910.
