The field shows soft abrash that reads as painterly depth against ivory corner spandrels and a series of tightly composed floral borders. Wool pile remains even with low distress, allowing the saturated red and neutral highlights to read clearly across the 6' 10" x 9' 8" span. This antique rug carries a tactile patina and an assured, village-era geometry that feels measured rather than ornate. Circa 1890 - 1910.
