A compact Farahan Sarouk in wool, balanced and tactile despite its small scale. The deep brown field sets off a neutral cream medallion, while gold and rust accents articulate the floral motifs and layered borders. The pile shows low wear and a soft, even abrash that reads as patina rather than damage. This antique rug retains clear pattern and colour contrast, its surfaces rich with woollen texture and considered hand. Circa 1900 - 1915. 1' 10" x 2' 7". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
