This Sivas is a tactile study in faded colour and measured composition. A large stepped medallion anchors a field of stylised floral sprays, tiny animal figures and repeated hooked motifs rendered in rust, coral and seafoam on a slate ground. The wool shows even surface wear and a layered abrash that reads as patina; borders retain graphic rosettes and softened outlines. The piece reads as an antique rug with sustained presence and a quiet, tactile energy. Circa 1880 - 1920. Exact size: 6' 10" x 10' 2". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
