The 9' 3" x 19' 7" field reads as a wash of muted blue-grey and neutral, the border rendered in pale cartouches and floral registers that recede beneath wear. High distress and extensive abrash have smoothed the original contrasts, leaving a tactile, lived surface with delicate vegetal and arching motifs just visible beneath the patina. This antique rug carries a restrained, archival presence; its scale and softened palette read as both historic and contemporary. Circa 1900 - 1915
