A quietly worn Oushak with a soft, oval floral medallion rendered in faded reds and creams against a neutral field. The wool shows painterly abrash and a layered border system that reads as stepped geometric spandrels and scrolling terminals. Surface wear has mellowed the original contrasts so the bouquet now feels airy and tactile. This antique rug bears medium distress consistent with long use and gentle restoration, the pile softened and edges characterful. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measures 4' 0" x 6' 5" and carries the patina of slow, domestic life in its nuanced colourway.
